For years, we learned to use software by entering screens.

We opened the CRM to review customers.

The project system to find pending work.

Email to locate agreements.

And a spreadsheet to assemble what none of the others could show us completely.

The tool was also the place where the work happened.

That is changing.

An AI can consult different systems, gather context, and help us make a decision without forcing us through every screen.

But that does not make software less important.

It changes software's place.

The system stops being only an interface a person learns to operate.

It becomes the source that preserves information, rules, permissions, and evidence so people and agents can act without losing control.

Conversation can become the new entry point.

Behind it, we still need reliable systems.

Perhaps more reliable than before.
