Artificial intelligence changed the speed at which we can accumulate technical decisions.

Good ones and bad ones.

A solution can work today while leaving duplication, unnecessary dependencies, and rules scattered throughout the system.

None of that necessarily breaks the first demonstration.

The cost appears later, when the next change arrives and no one understands why the previous piece ended up that way.

Technical debt is not created by using AI.

It is created when we accept results without preserving the reasoning, boundaries, and evidence that support them.

Before, producing enough code to hide many bad decisions required more effort.

Now we can multiply them as easily as we multiply a good solution.

That is why reviewing architecture, testing, security, and operations does not become less important.

It becomes urgent.

AI reduces the cost of building.

It does not reduce the cost of maintaining a decision no one can explain.
